A separate kitchen and dining room transformed in to an open plan living space in Newton, Hyde
Dan and Laura asked us to transform the very dated kitchen and separate dining room in their newly purchased house, as well as converting some outbuildings to create a new workshop and a handy toilet room just off the kitchen.
By removing the wall in between the kitchen and dining room, and installing patio doors opening up on to the garden where before there had just been a window, a beautiful, light, airy space has been created which is now the hub of the entire house.
We took everything back to brick, knocked down the wall, rewired, and rebuilt from there up – fully plastered, flooring installed, and kitchen fitted. Their choice of a green kitchen, marble effect worktops, and pink tiles works brilliantly together, and with some added furnishings, this space felt homely immediately despite being brand new.
