A large bathroom renovation in Marple
This large main family bathroom had been loved for many years but was due for an update. What came next was a total transformation!
We removed the old bathroom fittings and wall tiles whilst retaining the ceiling and a large wall mirror. The plan was to tile all walls and the floor with large porcelain tiles chosen by the customer, and fitting a sunken shower tray to create a new walk-in shower area. We set about prepping the walls and reinforcing the floor to strengthen it and to address some creaks and weaknesses that had appeared over the years.
The large tiles had to be handled and cut extremely carefully but the time taken was worth it in the end as the end results are stunning. We also incorporated two ‘cubby hole’ shelves within the shower area for storage of bottles, soaps etc.
After tiling and grouting was completed, we fitted the toilet, the shower, the shower screen, and the sinks which sat atop a new wall unit.
Overall this was a job which required an extra amount of care and detail and our customers were extremely happy with the outcome, as were we!
